Welcome to my universe dear one,
I am Alexandra Mitsiou, a food creative and tantra teacher who is working with food as a medium of expression, nourishment, conscious embodiment and a portal to reconnect us back to the Earth. My teachings consist of a weaving between my personal journey and healing around my relationship with food and nourishment as well as my professional work with food and the Earth.
Combining a scientific and a heart felt approach to food, I am interested in the interactions of our body with the resource.
I am aspiring to connect modern humans back to their bodies and to the body of the Earth through the portals of the senses using one of the most important resources we have; Food. I believe that there is a great healing potential in that connection.
I am utilising the qualities of food such as food textures, forms, colours, smell and tastes as points of reference to initiate an embodied expression of memories, feelings, and information stored in the body that is linked to nourishment and the way we allow ourselves to be nourished.
I am also mesmerised by the language of the ancestral ways of food preparation and the memory codes they unlock within our bodies and how they are connecting us to our ancestral lines. I am aspiring to keep them alive through her work and propagate the knowledge for the future generations to come.
I am using food as a creative medium to help us re-connect back to our bodies through the senses + a sensory language of communication with the body.
Food can be nourishing, food can be healing, food can bring us together and create trust and bonding. It shapes our body, our soul, our moods, our culture and society.
I am inspired by the sensory qualities of the food elements and the emotions, feelings and memories they could bring up. The food codes they unlock within us and the information that arises in connection to our past and to our somatic memories related to food.

Connecting to food in a deeper way via awakening our sensory pathways it helps us rediscover its essence and cultivate an intuitive knowing of how our body wants to be nourished on a day to day basis.
We usually nourish ourselves according to the information coming from our minds on what we think is healthy for us and what we think is not. It might be an advice given by a friend on what they consume and feels good to them, the latest news about a new super food, what our dietician has prescribed as a program of nourishment according to an algorithm on the computer, and so on. At the same time, we might restrict ourselves on foods that our mind consider as loaded with calories, fats or carbohydrates. We might also be consuming the supposedly healthier low fat products that are however highly processed.
When you cultivate the connection to your body and when you are re-awakening the sensory pathways that help you perceive and feel connection with the external influences, you have the ability to connect to the essence of the foods on a deeper level.
Through training of these pathways, you could sense the information coming from your body on whether you are resonating or not with certain ingredients and foods beyond what your mind or conditioning might have instilled into you.
Reconnecting back to the body is rewiring you to your inner wisdom and the very special information that is only relevant to you and to your body on how you need to be nourished.
When you cultivate this connection you will be able to be guided entirely by your body towards foods that resonate with you on a day to day basis. In this way you will manage to regulate your weight, balance the yo-yo loss and weight gain, eat more healthy and most importantly be alighted with your body's wisdom.
No strict diet regimes and restrictions needed when you are awakening your inner wisdom and cultivating the dialog with your body's voice. At this stage the choices happen organically and you know what is good for you and what is not good for you. You will unapologetically follow the information coming from your body as you will be feeling better and more aligned each time.

In the modern world most of us we have been disconnected from the earth and from the natural processes of growing food and following the process of transformation from seed to food.
As a result, we take food abundance for granted, we might be disconnected from seasonal foods or foods that grow on the local land where we are located. We also sometimes tend to over-consume or buy more than we need to as we don’t value the time and the earth energy that each ingredient required to be produced.
Furthermore, the energetic connection between the earth, the local land and the food produced is interrupted, creating imbalances that could lead to us consuming more than what we are supposed to be consuming or feeling empty or unsatisfied even if we have just eaten.
When you meet the essence of an ingredient from its biology to its cycle of life on this earth that created it, you are opening up a dialog and a conversation between the ingredient and your body to discover if this is something for you.
Through theory and practices aiming to awakening the body and its connection to the Earth, we are weaving again this thread and heal this unbalanced relationship.
